We recommend to anyone who wants to leave Dharamsala the village of Karri. It is about an hour from Dharamsala. A quiet village with a few restaurants and a few guesthouses. Lots of nature. There are 2 ways. In the shorter way you have to pass an obstacle of a broken road and take another taxi for a total of 2000 + 200 rupees. On the longer way there is no broken road, it takes another half hour and costs 2500 rupees. There is an amazingly beautiful track to the Khabru Falls about forty-five minutes drive to Kfar Bua and from there about two hours on foot to the falls passing corn fields and a stunning forest full of water on the way. The driver Raul +91 97365 73646 took us by car and then climbed with us to the falls and answered all our questions patiently and with a smile. There is also a track to the lake possible with accommodation also via Raul. The entire trek with the ride and the attached guide cost us 2500 rupees. highly recommend… P.S. Tomorrow we return to Dharamsala around 11-12. So who wants to this charming village. Feel free to contact Raul and get back with him.
